In short, a great finish to the second arc of Caina's adventures. Poor girl doesn't get a break not once... We get great final showdowns for both the direct threat (Red Huntress aka. the best antagonist of this story arc) and the world destroying one (the Apotheosis, which is kinda meh, I mean no offense but this is basically the discount version of Moroaica's plan, with worse execution and motivations). Still the book and various subplots across it offer a great ride. A few plot twists here and there but mostly this is endgame time, no loose threads left hanging, no questions unresolved. If you liked the previous entries in the series this is a must read.Tags : Ghost in the Winds (Ghost Exile #9) - Kindle edition by Jonathan Moeller. Ghost in the Winds Ghost Exile #9 eBook Jonathan Moeller Reviews
Wow so much excitement packed into the final round! Caina has one last chance to stop the evil takeover and death of the world. Slim chance at that but she is the only one who could pull it off. Will it destroy any chance for happiness or be the ultimate triumph?
I like all the ghost books and have read all the full books. It will be interesting to see what the author does next now that main character's identity as been exposed. Unless he plans on rapping up the story I hope he dials back of love story stuff. I don't think its needed. Anyway I would recommend all the ghost books.
This book is absolutely amazing. This entire series is amazing!!! I have to say that I have never read a series where I enjoy almost all of the characters especially Caina. This series has kept me captivated throughout every book. Out of every book series I have read this is by far my favorite. I can't wait until the next book comes out because I don't want to be done with Caina's adventures. I would definitely recommend this book except I don't really want to cause I don't want to share lol.
The finale to his second Ghost series is spectacular. Jonathan really went all out, 'guns blazing', for this story! Some larger than life scenes that made me savor his imagination, and sorrowful scenes, and battle ones, and humorous ones.
While the finale does not leave you hanging, it leaves the door open to a third series, whose plot is announced at the end. Needless to say, I'll be buying the future books too.
I normally hate series with more than 3 or 4 books in them. In my opinion, after 3 or 4, it tends to feel like the author is unnecessarily stretching things out. Not so with the ghost series (or any of this author's series). Each book's plot is entertaining while contributing to the main character's overall goal to be fulfilled by the end of the series. I love the characters and have been left wanting more of them when I finish a book. I highly recommend all books by this author. My only complaint is that I've read them all and have to wait while he writes more!
If you liked the other 17 books in the series, you'll like this one ... um, MORE! Nearly every significant character in the Exile series appears and all of the loose ends and threads are tied together in this excellent book.
If you were waiting to see what reviews are like for the whole series before starting it, the whole series is great. Caina is a really compelling main character, the world is fantastical, the plots solid, and the action relentless (in a good way). I've no complaints about any of it.
I really enjoy this series and have downloaded every one. Caina's past explains her ferocity and I enjoy watching her mow her way through this-will-be-the-one-who-kills-me scenarios. I find it believable that the men she loves are all-out warriors like herself and that, like her, they've been obstructed and devalued by the authorities who've benefited from their courage and skills.
If you liked the previous entries in the series this is a must read.
